RICHARD PETHYBRIDGE

Richard is co-owner and manager of KCK and highly experienced kitchen designer, Richard has a passion for innovative design that works. He has 30 years experience creating and designing kitchens and with the experience brings practical and technical solutions to any design

With the team of expert design and technical experience, KCK can design and build anything. Richard says "It's amazing to get invited into peoples homes and come up with a brand new design/feature and see excitement on their faces".

WADE HUMFFREYS

Wade is a family man and has been in the trade for many years. He is a highly experienced tradesman. After completing his joinery apprenticeship in kitchens and furniture finishing, he works in the spray painting industry. This includes experiences in automotive, kitchen and furniture finishing. He is regarded in the industry as one of the top spray painters in the country. He has also helped us to develop and define our elite paint finish unique to kitchens produced here at KCK.

SAM WHATARANGI

Sam started working for KCK at 15 years old as a 'sweep up boy' before starting his apprenticeship in 2011. In December 2013 Sam was named Wintec's top Apprentice Joiner of the Year and was presented with his certificate for outstanding achievement at the Rotokauri campus in Hamilton. He is an extremely hard-working and intelligent young man with a great sense of humour whose advice for other apprentices is to "aim high and be prepared to work hard". Sam was part of the ‘Team Orange’ on the NZ Block T.V. series 2019 with his friend Ethan (Eats). The way they handled the pressure and conducted themselves was a real credit to our Te Kuiti Waitomo district. We were glad to see Sam come back home.

STEVEN CHAPMAN

Steve is our most experienced tradesman at KCK and has committed his working life to perfecting his trade. He has trained many young joiners in the past and now works as Production Manager. His strengths are in the details and complicated joinery jobs where years of craftsmanship can perfect. Steve enjoys working with clients and understanding their needs and if anything needs to be invented or created that has never been done before.

Karen Pethybridge

Co-owner and office administrator Karen has worked on and in the business with husband and business partner Richard for nearly 30 years, and covers phone, office duties, advertising, and accounts. She also likes to spend quality time with family, friends and especially the grandchildren.

ABEL OCAMPO

Abel has come to us with a background in construction from the Philippines . He is a polite and hardworking man, fitting in with the rest of the staff here at KCK. Abel works in a variety of areas including joinery, spray painting and some construction work.

Alan Smith

Alan has been a part of our staff since 2021 who comes with years of experience as a tradesperson from Auckland and now enjoys the more relaxed environment of Te Kuiti. He is often cutting out and constructing kitchens and is also involved with installation in and out of the area. We are very pleased to have the extra experience joining the KCK team.

Shann Thompson

Shaan is our most recent staff member to join our team and he is presently doing a building apprenticeship where he brings his skills and talent to areas that are essential to the KCK business. Shaan’s kind and easy-going manner is a great asset to everyone.
